Black and White is Back..!!

Hello all,

Today I am here to showcase my try on the very new and interesting challenge by Craftyscrappers - its black and white. It was really interesting for me. Have a look what I came up with.

Isn't it pretty? :)

Here is, not tutorial but all possible info to make this card. I used black and white card stocks, penny black stamps, pretty mini flowers, pearls and most importantly, white tag to hold a beautiful sentiment. The tag die cut is from Craftyscrappers. :)

I first stamped my favorite flowers on an 8* cm cardstosck which was then cut into 4 equal squares. Then I cut 4.5 cm sqares from black cardstock and pasted one white on each black, making 4 beautiful mini boxes. Stamp the sentiment you like, Fabulous friend here on the die cut. Affix the stamped tag and flowers with pearls on them.

Tadaaa...!! Card is ready. :) quite easy and simple.

The challenge is on for this complete week. Make something black and white to win the crafty race..!!

Good luck..!! Enjoy :)

A Colorful Pyramid Card

Hello Everyone..!!

Today I have a lot to share, luckily. :) A lot of things happened in between. So, let's start it 1 by 1.
Greatest news, Crazy Crafts launched its logo. Have a look:

Isn't it pretty? I like the soothing colors very much. :)

Another great news is that I have been chosen as the Guest Designer for Craftyscrapper. Being chosen among many other talented crafters is more than an honor for me. I am still in learning phase, will learn a lot from all of my Team mates, I would say. Thank you Konica for the trust in me. :)

So, let me explain about the very fist creation of mine as the GD for Craftyscrapper. The theme for this week is RAINBOW..!!

hmmm... the ones who know me can understand how difficult it would have been because I am not so active on colors. But yet, I tried and genuinely liked the outcome. Mine is a pyramid like card - a 3D card. I used rainbow colors as far as theme is concerned.

Final output: Three sided pyramid cum card which can hold 2 photographs too.

I hope you all like my colorful creation for the Challenge #3 by Craftyscrapper. :)

Do share your views. Till then, keep crafting and enjoy every moment of your life. :)

Take care..!!

Say THANK YOU Gracefully..!!

Diwali Crafts - Paper Lamp/Lantern

Hey guys..!!

Today I present to you my another handmade creation focussed specially for this festive season. It is a handmade - completely handmade paper lamp or you can say lantern. The colors and decoration may vary according to your choice. Being focussed for the festive season, I used traditional pink and green paper to cover it.

I made it to size 6inches by 9 inches - pretty huge na? ;) But I like it being placed in a beautiful corner of your house or verandah.

So, have a look at the final product.

Mixed Media Background I Made

Hello everyone, long time again.. No? :p

I have made a mixed media background though which I enter the 'Create Something Catchy's Challenge'. This is my second try in mixed media and my first one was also not so bad. :P

See what I have done:
1. A plain piece of MDF board was covered with Primer to give a white look like this:

2. Then it was covered with blue paint - favorite of most of my clients ;)
3. Then I used small rings - from a spiral cord - normally used in spiral binding and formed pyramid type structures on both the ends.
**I don't have the pictures of in between proceedings. :P
4. Then spray some white paint - maximum in middle section.
5. Now paint the rings with white paint as a base coat.

 6. Then comes yellow, some dark blue and purple shades on my spray brush. Again the density is maximum in central section.

7. Spread some purple color on the rings with the help of brush.

8. Can you recognize the stamps? ;) Used the butterfly stamp in darker color to give it a look and the base background is ready. :)

9. After adding flowers, embellishments etc. it came out to be this. Cool na? I am actually loving my work this time. :D

Will share the whole project soon. Hope you like it. :)
